He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gums and Emelia Gums (Lachenmeier); his grandmother Elizabeth Gums; his aunt Lillie Wanner (Gums); his siblings, Ella Brewer and Elmer Gums; and his grandson Blake Allickson.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri, Jon and Melinda (Mindy); his wife LaVonna Swart Gums; his sisters, Bernice Carlson (Dronen) and Erma Roesler; his daughter Mindy Allickson; his grandchildren, Madison, Jaden, Grace, Lauden, Alonna, Jax and Dempsie; and his great grandchild Elzay. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren play their sports, his kids.
