He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Purtle and Verdeen Purtle; his wife Barbara; and his siblings, Ricky Purtle and Etta Purtle.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Purtle (Jackie), Tammy Parr, Daniel Purtle (Shelly), Candy Beauclair (David), Byanca Galindo (Adam), Stephanie Purtle, Alexia Purtle, Reuben Purtle (Danielle) and Sarina Purtle; and his brothers, Jackie Purtle (Sherry), Peanut Purtle (Freda), John Purtle and Leon Purtle (Julie). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
