He was predeceased by: his son Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann; his son John "Dave" D. Alverson Jr. (Kara); his grandchildren, Dakota and John "Jack" D. Alverson III; his son Marc; his granddaughter Valerie (Brian); and his great grandchildren, Madeline, Cameron and Gabrielle.
