He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Lauer and Katherine Lauer (Neff); his siblings, Rudy, Ted, Melvin, Albert, Ray, Edna Reile, Viola Murray, Freda Broeckel, Ruby Wahl, Darlene Roth, Violet Lauer and Adeline Lauer; and his son-in-law Troy Hanson.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Braunberger of Bismarck; his children, Perry, Cecilia Lauer of Ramsey, MN, Sheila of McClusky, Patrick Faul of McClusky, Corey of McClusky, Melissa Lauer of McClusky, Lauri, Greg Schlosser of Bismarck, Brendon and Stacy Lauer of College Station, TX; his siblings, LeRoy Lauer (Alice) and Shirley Wilson of Coleharbor; and his sister-in-law Doris Lauer of Bismarck. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
On November 16th, after 35 weeks of being imprisoned in a long term care facility under the pretense of "keeping him safe", Lloyd contracted the very thing they were supposed to be keeping him safe from--facility acquired COVID-19.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the donors choice.
