Lorena Charlotte Nelson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorena Charlotte Nelson of Bismarck, North Dakota, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 31, 2020 at the age of 107. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Colonel Harry William and Lorena Margaret Terry (Stevens); her husband Robert T. Nelson; her daughter-in-law Beth Nelson; her grandson Scott Schmaltz; her great grandchild Thomas W. Schmaltz; and her sisters, Helen Albrecht (Herb) and Pat Crooks (Joe).
She is survived by: her children, Bill Nelson (Germaine Strother), Tom Nelson (Janet), Peg Schmaltz (Dale) of Waconia, MN and Pat Podoll (Clint) of Fargo, ND. She is also survived by three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the 1st Presbyterian Church Parish Nurse program or the ND Veterans Cemetery.
