He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Elias Kristensen and Inga Kristensen; his brother Robert Kristensen; his brother-in-law Samuel Gregory; and his grandson Matthew Kristensen.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Peterson; his children, Suzan Skeen (Steven) of Arab, AL, Thomas Kristensen of Rugby, ND, Terrance Kristensen (Cathy) of Bismarck, ND, Mark Kristensen (Roxann) of South Jordan, UT, Karen Latham (Steven) of Tucson, AZ and Jane Davis (Brad) of Dickinson, ND; his siblings, Constance Gregory of Fort Wayne, IN and Lowell Kristensen (Shirley) of La Croix, WI; and his sister-in-law Florence Kristensen. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
