She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Wentland and Margaret Wentland (McManigal); her husband Alan Ekre; and her sister Joan Hall. She is survived by: her children, Curtis, Curt Ekre of Beach and Linda Vannurden (Douglas) of Linton; her grandchildren, Walyn Vannurden (Jenn) of Mohall and Wendy Angel (Jason) of Mandan; and her great grandchildren, Zachary, Alaina, Mark and Kahlan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
