He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carlas Johnson and Mamie Johnson; his wife Helen Pearson; his children, Tana Snell (Minneapolis), LuWan Duma (Carl) of Hanford, CA, Conna Cook (Larry), Jeanie Steckler (Charles) and John Johnson (Sharon) of St Cloud, MN; and his brother Jack Johnson (Gen). He was also cherished by 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
