We are sad to announce that on March 2, 2021, at the age of 94, Matt Sturn of Bismarck, North Dakota, born in Mandan, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sturn and Katherine Sturn (Hatzenbuhler); his son Delvin; his grandsons, Corey Ott and Michael Sturn; his siblings, Elizabeth Glasser, Ralph, George, Phillip, John Sturn (Katie), Rose Doll (Conrad) and Caroline Eggers; and his brothers-in-law, Eugne Gress, Fred Cushman and Matt Doll.
He is survived by: his wife Clara Zander; his children, Doreen Ott (Chuck) of Bismarck, Gerald Sturn (Laura) of Bismarck, Brian Sturn (Metta) of Bismarck, Villard of Bismarck, Minn of Bismarck, Collette Sturn-Miller of Bismarck, Carol Walth (Robert Jr.) of Bismarck, Tamara Ellingson (Corey) of Bismarck and Brad Sturn (Kristi); his daughter-in-law Mischelle Sturn; his siblings, Ann Doll, Pauline Cushman, Puyallup, Wash and Frank Sturn (Margaret); and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Sturn and Wesley Eggers. He is also survived by eight children, 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
For those attending the service, the family asks that social distancing guidelines are followed and that masks are worn.
