He was predeceased by: his sons, Danny and Tommy; his parents, Sebastian and Anna; his sisters, Lillian Topp, Rose Papke and Violet Christenson; his great grandchildren, Brennan Kyle and Matthew Walter; and his brothers-in-law, Gregory Zenker and Leslie Christianson.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Stephen and Thomas; his wife Irene; his children, Karen Gunsch-Walter (John), Nancy Swenningson, Constance, Michele, Joy Walter, Philip (Alice Pulvermacher), Jim (Jean) and Rik (Marty Granger); his siblings, Maryanne Schmitcke, Ann Redding Venstra (Peter), Diane Zenker, Eugene (Marie), Jerome and Joe (Susie); and his siblings-in-law, Fred Topp and Helen Walter. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and dozens of nieces and nephews.
