He was predeceased by: his grandson Mathew Van Boven; and his siblings, Hette, Annie Verhoeven, Maurice, Nettie Heitbrink, Peter, Augusta Roos, Clarence, John, Donald and Irene Wester.
He is survived by: his parents, Ed H Nieuwsma and Adriana "Jenny" Nieuwsma (Van Soest); his spouse Eleanor (James); his children, Kenneth, Bonita (Bonnie), Kenny, Diane Van Boven (Ron), Donna Domke (Jim) and Bonnie Synhorst (Darin); and his sister-in-law Angie Nieuwsma. He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
