He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Buchholz and Hilda Buchholz (Just); his sisters, Ella Meyer and Betty Franklund-Schoeneman; his brothers-in-law, Willis Franklund and Clifford Williams; and his nephews, Douglas Meyer and Bryan Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Mavis Franklund; his friend Pete Baumgartner; his sisters, Verna Johnson (Don) and Joyce Johnson (Torry); his siblings-in-law, Bill Meyer, Lew Schoeneman, Dwight Franklund (Marlene), Marlene Landsberger (Ken) and Ardith Williams; his friend Rodger; and his brother Pete Baumgartner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
