He is survived by: his former wife Adeline Fiechtner; his wife Adeline Essig of Bismarck; his siblings, Clinton Essig of Wishek, ND and Marline Brintnall (Ulmer) of Corvallis, MT; his children, Dennis D. Essig, Cynthia J. Korthaus (Dennis) and Colleen F. McCabe (Rick); his grandchildren, Rheanna M. Kust (Evan), Meghan E. Korthaus (Josh Wassmann), Alexandra N. Thomas (RJ) and Alyssa L. McCabe Bryan; and his great grandchildren, Fynn C. Wassmann, Emma J. Kust, Kinley J. Thomas, Bennett R. Kust and Avery M. Thomas.
