It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruben Schlichenmayer (Bismarck, North Dakota), born in Turtle Lake, North Dakota, who passed away on May 31, 2019, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Schlichenmayer and Elizabeth Schlichenmayer (Seibel); and his siblings, Ferdinand, Richard, Charlie, Texy, Olga Reimer, Ann Kubler, Esther Herr, Marion Kirschman, Betty Anderson and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his spouse Viona Grueneich; his children, Darby Schlichenmayer (Barb) and Sherry Legreid (Brad); his grandchildren, Josh Schlichenmayer (Katie), Luke Schlichenmayer (Danelle), Morgan and Janell Burkart (Zach) of Fargo; his great grandchildren, Teagan, Jaela, Huxten, Vaeda Schlichenmayer and Eden Schlichenmayer; and his siblings-in-law, Walt Aman, Vera Schlichenmayer and Frances Grueneich.
