He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Heier and Catherine Heier (Fiest); and his siblings, Peter, Julius, Leonard, Rainer, Tim, Maggie Heilman, Helen Schue and Leonita Heilman.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Schneider; his daughter Lenora Dockter; his grandchildren, Jaclyn and Trey; his siblings, Leo (Johanna), Ervin, Tony and Emma Knoll; and his siblings-in-law, Victor Heilman and Jane Heier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
