She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jay and Eva Smith (Van Newkirk); her spouse Selmer Helgeson; her daughter Shirley (Mike Ihla); her great grandchild Josiah Wendt; and her siblings, Elden, Erma, Jerry, Joann and Jennie.
She is survived by: her children, Penny Henderson (Don) of West Fargo and Kevin Helgeson (Sandi) of Turtle Lake, ND; her grandchildren, Justin Helgeson (Laura), Ashley Janssen (Joshua), Kayla Brown (Justin), Chelsea Wendt (Brandon), Alyssa Bourquin (Erik), Krysta Gawryluk (Justin) and Heather Ihla (Colton Burkett); and her sisters, June Smith and Janice Fuchs. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
