With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Kannas formerly of Cando, North Dakota, born in Churchs Ferry, North Dakota, who passed away on January 11, 2021 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ewald Henke and Martha Henke (Schach); her husband Carl Kannas; her sister Nadine Miller (Earl); her nephew Mike Miller; her brother Art Henke; her children, Linda Orvedal and Jerry Nass; and her daughter-in-law Trudy Nass.

She is survived by : her son Danny (Lori); her son-in-law Larry Orvedal of Cando, ND; her stepchildren, Tery Kannas of Kelso, WA, Vicki Wagner of Minneapolis, MN and Patti Taylor of Great Falls, MT; her grandchildren, Jamie Jacksen (Vicki) of Egeland, ND, Valerie Jacksen of Starkweather, ND, Randal Nass (Grace) of Eden Prairie, MN, Calvin Nass (Shari) of Williston, ND, Alyssa Meyer (Zach) of Williston, ND, Stacy Nass-Bruskin (Louis) of Seattle, WA, Misty Marsh (Justin) of Devils Lake, ND, Lyndi Nass (Zack) of New Rockford, ND, Riley Nass of Williston, ND, Roxy Nass of Devils Lake, ND and Jerod Nass (Hayley); and her nieces, Patty Sabie (TJ) of Embarrass, MN and Peggy Evenson (Jeff). She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren.
