He is survived by : his former life partner Joanne Buchholz; his children, Adam Rode of Bertrum, MN, Shawn Rode (Jennifer) of Moorhead, Tami Howard of Bismarck and Derek Rode of Fargo; his stepdaughter Dani Bratholt (Kent) of Newnan, GA; his grandchildren, Payton, Gabe, Kyle, Xander, Jamik, Kara, Easton, Gideon and Tyson; his great grandchild Eleanora; and his sisters, Cathy Rode of Moorhead, Frances Jones (Norman) of Moorhead, Marge Rode of Watertown, SD, Mary Rose Colville (Dale) of Granger, IN, Virginia Vincent of Valley City, ND and Sheila Burman (Dave) of El Cajon, CA..
