He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Nelson and Helen Nelson; his sisters, Kathy King and Claudia Wiese; and his niece Jill Link.
He is survived by: his spouse Linda Christianson; his son Christian; his spouse Shirley Steves; his children, Chris Nelson (Christine), Bryanna Nicole, Thad Allen and Haleigh Madison; his siblings, Georgia Berger of Detroit Lakes, MN, Jay Nelson (Kathy) and Jon Nelson; and his brother-in-law Larry King. He is also survived by three step-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
