He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Ekre and Edna Ekre (Lohr); and his nephew Lee Frigen. He is survived by : his wife Marilyn of West Fargo, ND; his children, Sara Ekre of Enderlin, ND, Blaine Ekre (Jayne) of Otsego, MN, Bradley Ekre (Kim) of Gilbert, AZ, Brent Ekre (Libby) of Phoenix, AZ and Blair Ekre (Brenda) of Queen Creek, AZ; and his sister Betty Lou Frigen of Jamestown, ND.. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
