It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Backstrom (Fargo, North Dakota), who passed away on February 22, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Backstrom and Anna Backstrom (Bakken); and his siblings, David, Eileen Lewis and Marjorie Warner.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Rensvold; his children, Mary Halvorson (Rickie) of Galesburg, ND, Mark Backstrom (Becky) of Grandin and Ann Hooey (Jeremy) of Dickinson; his grandchildren, Justin, Brady Backstrom (Abby Husar) and Ashley Ehret (Austin Ehret); his great grandchildren, Bristol, Briggs Backstrom, Trey and Kadence Husar; his sister Betty Knight of Casper, WY; and his sister-in-law Marilyn of Moorhead, MN.. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Immanuel Luther Church or Hospice of the Red River Valley are preferred.
