He was predeceased by: his parents, Ted Johnson and Margaret Johnson; his sister Nancy Beutel; and his brother-in-law Bob Beutel. He is survived by: his wife Sue Johnson; his son Mike Johnson (Sarah); his grandson Alex; his stepson Mike Van Schyndle (Jill); his stepgrandchildren, Payton, Morgan and Nolan; and his stepsons, Nick Van Schyndle and Luke Van Schyndle (Nadia). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic, there will not be a funeral service but there will be a celebration of Dave's life at a later date in Wisconsin.
