It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Smith of Fargo, North Dakota, who passed away on December 2, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Philomine Smith (Strack) and Earl Smith; his siblings, Denny and Mikki; and his brother-in-law Mathias Heltemes.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Goodpaster (Fellman) of Fargo, ND; his sons, Scott Iverson (Shari) of Circle Pines, Michael Iverson (Dena) of Staples and Bryan Smith of Wahpeton; his grandchildren, Jay, Meagan, Shane, Heather, Jake and Holly; and his siblings, Mary Heltemes of West Bend, WI, Joyce Garland (Larry) of Slayton, Karen Duda (Harold) of Keystone, SD, Claudia Craft of Pillager, George Smith (Jan) of Staples and Greg Smith (Becky) of Staples. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
