He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Zaun and Clara Zaun (Huber); his son Matt (Shirley); and his brother Ted. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Mellum; his children, Barb Nelson (Al) of Fargo, Doug Zaun (Emily) of Duluth, MN, Pat Zaun (Mihoko) of Carlsbad, CA and Kathy Melander (Bob) of West Fargo; his siblings, MaryAnn Armbrust, Denis Zaun (Peggy) and Dick Zaun (Candy); his sister-in-law Elaine Zaun; his grandchildren, Kate DeShaw (Jason), Amanda Horner (Josh), Rachel Nelson, Gabe, Eli Zaun, Sam, Ben Zaun, Matthew and Carly Melander; and his great grandchildren, Rylee, Matthew, Marlee, Mavy, Jake, Eleanor and Myla. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
