He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Carol Knickrehm; and also Marvin Knickrehm. He is survived by: his children, Debra, Deborah Nichols and Paul Kalvik; his grandchildren, Cass Bendix (Grant), Alec Nichols and Connor Nichols; and his nieces, Jennifer Theiste (Christopher) and Tara Fink (Jonathan). He is also survived by his parents and sister.
