He is survived by: his wife Norma Gabbert of Fargo, ND; his children, Mark Murphy (Nadine) of Galveston, TX and Monica Sunderland (Brad); his grandchildren, Lawson Murphy and Gavin Sunderland; and his siblings, Bruce Murphy (Lynda) of Hankinson, ND, Lynn Hanson (Nancy), Gail Resler (George), Barry Murphy (Judy) and Ronnie Murphy.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley or HOMES FOR OUR TROOPS.
