She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Bostwick and Oneita Bostwick (Pease); her husbands, William Garfield and Walter Nelson; and her siblings, Robert Bostwick and Myrtle VanBruggen.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Garfield Nelson (Rodney) and William Garfield Jr. (Pamela); her grandchildren, Erin Cooper Misner (Ryan), Gregory Gambill (Jessica), Timothy VanOudheusden (Sarah) and William Garfield III; her great grandchildren, Megan, Katie, Ethan, Abigal, Jase and Crew; and her siblings, Rolland Bostwick (Judi) and Marguarite Sturgeon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Bethel Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Association will be appreciated.
