It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Vernal Borgen (Fargo, North Dakota), who passed away on February 5, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Evelyn, Melvin Borgen, Hans and Anna Johnson; his brother James Borgen; his sisters-in-law, Julie Borgen and Gayette Knutson; and his niece Alena "Ali" Borgen.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his siblings, Richard Borgen (Karen) of Grand Forks, ND and Robin Lane (David) of Alexandria, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Louine Ness of Bismarck, ND, Judy Borgen, Melane Knutson, Patricia Knutson, Michael Ness of Bismarck, ND, Sidney Knutson and Ronald Knutson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
