She was predeceased by: her parents, Nils Tangen and Annie Tangen; her siblings, Neil Tangen, Norton Tangen and Enid Hanson; and her nephew Roger Butenhoff (Don Larson).
She is survived by: her husband Milton Butenhoff; her children, Roger, Cheryl Bogie (Dean), Laura Johnson (Al), Lisa Butenhoff, Marlin Butenhoff (Betty) and Judy Stenshoel (Neil); and her grandchildren, Tammy Langerud (Loren), Leann Tallackson (Chris), Stacy Pfaff (Chad), Scott Stenshoel (Steph), Tanya Ferber (Jeff), David Bogie (Kris), Anne Wenner (Tim), Tony Johnson (Lacie) and Katie White (Michael).
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations in her memory to Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN, or to Muriel's childhood church of Waldheim in Kathryn, ND.
