He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Melissa Davidson (Dallas) of Fargo, N. D., Chris Silewski (Ingrid) of Eau Claire, W. I., Brittney Hanson (Eric) and Derek Silewski (Phoebe Francis) of Grafton, ND; his mother Patricia Silewski of Grafton; his siblings, Mike Silewski (Karmen), Andover, Mary Reid (Larry), Pensacola, David Silewski (Laurie) and Joan Warnke of Grand Forks, N. D.; his grandchildren, Mya, Jasmin, Henrik, Everett, Veronica, Hans, Eleanor and Florence; his wife Joanie Silewski (Schumacher); his father Chester Silewski; his aunt Marilyn Kalbrener; and his uncle Jim Kalbrener. He was also cherished by cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in the spring.In lieu of gifts of food or flowers, the family is requesting individuals consider donating to the Alzheimer's Association in remembrance of John, to help support Alzheimer's research and help bring an end to the terrible disease.
