It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Laverne Ann Manderud (Grafton, North Dakota), born in Lankin, North Dakota, who passed away on December 11, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hodny and Agnes Hodny (Shirek); and her husband Omen. She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Mary Tveit (Thomas) of Pierre, S. D., Kathryn Mahar (James) and Ruth Stakston (Charles). She is also survived by 8 step-grandchildren; and 10 step great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Walsh County Food Pantry or Lutheran Sunset Home.
