We bid farewell to Clayton Pokrzywinski of Grand Forks, North Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 7, 2025 at the age of 89. Clayton touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Pokrzywinski and Mamie Pokrzywinski (Witkowski); his former wife Janet Knutson; and his brothers, Walter and Clifford.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Borowicz Roland (Perkerewicz); his children, Jim Pokrzywinski (Melanie) of Lankin, ND, Jodi Beneda (David) of Adams, ND and Jeff Pokrzywinski (Roxanne) of Bismarck, ND; and his stepchildren, James Borowicz (Virginia) of Hot Springs, AR, Theresa Nolte (Greg) of Fargo, ND, Louise Clark (Roger) of Woodbury, MN, Carol Brintnell (Randy) of Baudette, MN, Betty Halverson (Kevin) of Lee's Summit, MO, Margaret Mach (Mike) of Grand Forks, ND, Jeannie Carriere of Greenfield, MN and Wayne Borowicz (Sherri) of Baxter, MN. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home (154 W 12th St, Grafton, ND 58237). A rosary was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (1018 18th Ave S, Grand Forks, ND 58201).
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, PO Box 102, Lankin, ND 58250.
