It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Doran Sand of Grand Forks, North Dakota, born in Cando, North Dakota, who passed away at the age of 82, on February 26, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Sand and Lucille Sand (Ulrich); his son Thomas Paul; his granddaughter Jaclyn Sand; his siblings, Duane Sand, Donald Sand and Kathryn Baker; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Sand and Harold Holien.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Zimmerman; his children, Brian Sand (Rhonda), Greg Sand (Mary), Doreen Homuth of Grand Forks, ND and Barbara Murphy (Greg) of Grand Forks, ND; his siblings, Daryl Sand of Arvada, CO, Joel Sand (Lorraine) and Geraldine Holien (Harold); and his grandchildren, Chad Boese (Alyssa), Lauren Homuth, Lacey Schuler (Jason), Melissa Lennon (Trevor), Sarah Storandt (Michael), Molly Sand, Audrey Sand, Zachary Murphy and Jacob Murphy. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, with one great-grandchild on the way; nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 concerns face masks and social distancing will be required at the visitation and funeral.
