He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Wald and Margorette Wald (Schmidt); his wife Irene Jangula; his son Timothy A. Wald; and his siblings, Elizabeth Ell, Conrad Wald, Markus Wald, Phyllis Wald, Sylvester Wald, Adam Wald, Helen Schmidt, Dorothy Wald, Julia Feist and Joseph (David Knapp).
He is survived by: his children, Cabrini Knapp of Grand Forks, ND, Ronald Wald (Robyn), East, Debbie Ellingson (Jeff) of Kerrville, TX, Dwayne (Catherina), Kerry Wald (Franklin) of Houston, TX, John Wald (Mark) of Houston, TX and Marykay Pridgen (Glenn) of Winnabow, NC; his sisters, Christine Dosch (Henry) of Bismarck, ND and Margaret Vonesh (Arlan) of Buxton, ND; and his siblings-in-law, James Schmidt, Alex Feist, Lillian Wald and Millie Wald. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
