He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Elizabeth Kearney and Augustin LeRoy Slater. He is survived by: his former spouse Joycelyn Brush; his wife Sandra Margetson Beidler (Sandy); his children, Deborah Slater of Coraopolis, PA, Pamela Slater of Pittsburgh, PA, Mary Beth Kulka (Joseph) of Allison Park, PA, Susan Slater of Warren, PA and Thomas Slater (Deborah) of Ellicott City, MD; his stepchildren, Kristina Beidler of Huntsville, AL, Susan Taylor (Todd) of Jacksonville, FL and David Beidler (Emily) of Dallas, TX; his grandchildren, Royal Skirtich, Zak Slater, Liam and Eliana Slater; his stepgrandchildren, Laura Baran, Paige Larson, Joshua, Alexa Beidler, Mackenzie Berger (Blake) and Lauren Castro (Jon); and his great grandchild Joycelyn Brush Slater.
