He is survived by : his children, Adele Shane (Gary) of Oslo, MN, Dale Rivard (Marianne) and Ava Archibald (Jim) of Detroit Lakes, MN; his grandchildren, Andrea McKichan (Dave) of Austin, MN, Amanda Rogus (Jim) of Stephen, MN, Dale Jr. Rivard (Brette) of Mesa, AZ, Grant Shane (Madeleine) of Fordville, ND, Greg Shane (Jen) of Grafton, ND, Alyson Larson (Chris) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Jon Archibald of Fargo, ND and Amy Archibald of Grand Forks, ND; his stepgrandchildren, Christine Sivertson (Tim) of Thompson, ND, Colette Delacruz (Jesse) of Sacramento, CA, Tracey Atkinson (Paul) and England; and his brother William Rivard (Judy). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
