It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Fred Duane Rivard of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Rivard and Eva Rivard (Bergeron); his wife Agraphine Duray (Aggie); and his siblings, Lloyd Rivard, May Pilon and Winnifred Osowski.

He is survived by : his children, Adele Shane (Gary) of Oslo, MN, Dale Rivard (Marianne) and Ava Archibald (Jim) of Detroit Lakes, MN; his grandchildren, Andrea McKichan (Dave) of Austin, MN, Amanda Rogus (Jim) of Stephen, MN, Dale Jr. Rivard (Brette) of Mesa, AZ, Grant Shane (Madeleine) of Fordville, ND, Greg Shane (Jen) of Grafton, ND, Alyson Larson (Chris) of Detroit Lakes, MN, Jon Archibald of Fargo, ND and Amy Archibald of Grand Forks, ND; his step-grandchildren, Christine Sivertson (Tim) of Thompson, ND, Colette Delacruz (Jesse) of Sacramento, CA, Tracey Atkinson (Paul) and England; and his brother William Rivard (Judy). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26th 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (216 Belmont Rd, Grand Forks, ND 58201). A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday, February 26th 2021 at 10:30 AM at the same location. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, face masks are required, and social distancing is recommended.
