It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Sebastian Burckhard of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Burckhard and Frances Burckhard (Schmitt); his wife Marlene Gladue; and his siblings, Jake, Wendt, Mike, Ed and Betty Murphy.

He is survived by: his children, Robert "Bob" Grand Forks (Audra), Mark of Phoenix, AZ, Patrick and Lori Hubbard (Richard) of Lavon, TX; his grandchildren, Eric Burckhard (Brandie), Andrew "Andy" Burckhard, Alec Burckhard (Myah), Michayla Burckhard, Jessica Westra (Josh), Stephanie Burckhard and James Hubbard; his sister Toots Jackson; and his sister-in-law Ramona Danielson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
