Joan Gertrude Simmers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Gertrude Simmers of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on May 24, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Woychik and Alice Woychik; her husband Larry Monroe; her son Larry "Header" Simmers; and her granddaughter Ericka Lynn Simmers.
She is survived by: her children, Dave (Judy), Pat (Susie), Stephen (Colette), Tom (Betty) of Stanley, ND, Bruce (Lisa), John (Helen) of Crystal, MN, Mike (Jayme) of Grand Forks, ND, Doug (Kari) of O'Fallon, IL., Kathy of Grand Forks, ND, Karen Lindsay (Lane) of Grand Forks, ND and Nancy (Mike) of Pueblo, CO.. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

It was Joan's wish that her human remains be donated to the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences for research and education.
