Leon Fjestad Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Fjestad of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on January 13, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Fjestad and Clarice Fjestad (Amoth); his brothers-in-law, Del and Keith Schluchter; and his son-in-law Rob Vakoc.
He is survived by: his wife Avis; his children, Brian (Tracy) of Fort Lupton, CO, Dan (Sherry) and Becky Vakoc; his siblings, Orian (Stephanie) of West Fargo and Anne Peterson (Stan) of Boulder, CO; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Schluchter of Cavalier, ND and Aliene Schluchter of Tucson, AZ.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to Prairie Harvest Mental Health or Northlands Rescue Mission.
