He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Trontvet and Gunda Trontvet (Rensla); his son Randy Trontvet; his siblings, Norris, Janet, Gilbert, Pearl, Inga and Orvin; and his parents-in-law, Clifford Anderson and Dorothy Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Anderson (Bobbie); his children, Robbin Raines (Richard) of Hollywood, Florida and Rick Trontvet (Karmon) of Warroad, Minnesota; his daughter-in-law Joycelyn Trontvet of Grand Forks; his grandchildren, Shane Raines, Ryan Raines (Angelica), Kyle Trontvet (Rachel), Kasey Trontvet (Carli), Karter Trontvet, Janna Trontvet, Kelsey Trontvet and Brayden Trontvet (Catie); his great grandchildren, Liv Raines, Harper, Jaxen, Beckett and Bennett Trontvet; and his siblings-in-law, Floyd Dalzell, Anita Anderson, Gayle McCutchen and Jane Hauser. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
