It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Osf Rebecca Metzger of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Joseph "Leonard" Metzger; and her brother Donald Metzger. She is survived by: her mother Esther Metzger (Fischer); her sisters, Rebecca, Elaine Marie (Rebecca) and Christina; her friend Judy Jacoby; her siblings, Mary Eddy of Moorhead, MN, Jan Rieck of Mapleton, ND, Helen Borgen of Fargo, ND, Karen Kolbinger and Darrell Metzger (Bev); and her sister-in-law Renae Metzger of West Fargo, ND. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Twenty-three years later (8 years into her battle with cancer), the COVID-era would draw from her yet greater trust in God's providence as she managed the stresses on personnel and residents and the financial impact the pandemic had on long term care facilities across the country.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sister Rebecca's memory may be directed to St. Anne's Guest Home, Grand Forks.
