With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Francis Fischer (Grand Forks, North Dakota), born in Bismarck, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 25, 2025 at the age of 69. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Fischer and Rose Fischer; his stepbrother Adam Geiger III; and also, Dan and Agnes Lucy.
He is survived by: his sons, Matt [Abbie], Jake [Kacy] and Josh; his grandchildren, Lucas, Eli, Asher, Jacob, Mattie, Victoria, Finn and Adeline; his sister Sheila [Mark] Reierson; and his stepmother Tillie [Francis] Fischer.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Amundson Funeral Home (2975 S 42nd St, Grand Forks, ND 58208). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (505 5th Ave N, Grand Forks, ND 58203).
In lieu of sending flowers, people are encouraged to make donations to Relate Care Clinic or HIA Hospice.
