He was predeceased by: his father Clayton; his brothers, Charles and Roger; and his sisters-in-law, Diane and Janice.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Diane Lizakowski; his daughters, Stephanie Murray (Levi) and Sherrie Murray (Mike); his girlfriend's daughter Becky Papenfuss (Chris); his grandchildren, Cash of Bismarck, Everly of Bismarck, Lainey Murray of Bismarck, Kyia and Chloe Papenfuss of Fargo; and his brother Tom Aafedt (Janet) of Omaha. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Fordville American Legion, or The American Cancer Society.
