She was predeceased by: her parents, Stener Hillerud and Anna Hillerud (Johnson); her husband Donald Skarstad; her brother Stener HIllerud, Jr.; and her siblings-in-law, Homer Hiller and Katheryn Hillerud.
She is survived by: her sister Gwen; her daughters, Marlene Ann, Lynnette Kay, Marlene Larsen (Leonard) of Granville, ND and Lynnette Olson (Carmen); her grandchildren, Kim Nehring (Jeff), Kris Van Grinsven (Bryan), Curt Olson (Genelle), Candy Brekke (Paul) and Kyle Larsen (Kendra); her great grandchildren, Jordan Hall, Carter Hall, Madison Van Grinsven (Noah Bosh), Cayley Olson, Brooke Van Grinsven, Kaitlyn Larsen, Gage Olson, Carson Brekke, Kason Larsen, Dawson Nehring and Makella Brekke; her siblings, Stan Hillerud, Velva, Doris Hiller of DeSoto, TX and Shirley Harmon (Harold); and her sister-in-law Ardelle Hillerud of Towner, ND. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
