He was predeceased by : his parents, Thane Williams and Elsie Williams (Albertson). He is survived by : his sister Sharla Colebank (Mike) of Lafayette, LA; and his foster sister Kathy Forbes of Burlington, ND..

The Covid pandemic limited Dan's social interactions, but he started writing to his pen pal Josslyn and kept in touch with family and friends using his computer and I pad.
