He was predeceased by: his brother Rick; and his brother-in-law Bob George. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Mayer; his children, Nicole Crabtree (John) and Eric Mayer (Amy); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Alex, Zachary, Matthew, Emelia and Cecelia; his great grandchild Layne; his siblings, Beverly George and Orv Mayer (Diana); and his sister-in-law Eileen Mayer.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the First Lutheran Church, Harvey, ND.
