He was predeceased by: his parents, Merrel Delano and Alice Jean Grim (O'Brien); and his siblings, Donald, Paul, Nancy, Bill, Peggy and Alice Jean.
He is survived by: his children, Mark J. (Carole), Bradley M. Grim (Mary E.), Julie R. Schmieding (Ken), Robert S. Grim (Sheila), William B. Grim and Nancy J. Lang (Duane). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
