She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Merck and Regina Merck (Boehm); and her husband Anton "Tony" G. Lauinger. She is survived by: her children, Verla Walter (Wayne) and John Lauinger (Shelly); her grandchildren, Toni Mocko (Justin), Scott Walter (Tricia), Lance Lauinger (Annie) and Cole Lauinger (Beth); her great grandchildren, Izabella, Zoey Mocko, Vayda, Blake Walter, Aftyn and Kendalyn Lauinger; and her sisters, Agnes Traiser, Jeanne Fiest and Angela Klein. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A prayer will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (500 Main St, Karlsruhe, ND 58744).
Burial: Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, Karlsruhe, ND, Memorials may be given in Ida's name to Somerset Court.
