He was predeceased by: his mother Francis; his brothers, Thomas and Paul; his parents-in-law, Pauline Solum and Vernon Solum; and his stepmother Lucinda Schneider (Heidrich).
He is survived by: his wife Jocelyn; his children, Amanda (Mike), Casey (Michelle) and Drew; his grandchildren, Adrian, Elizabeth and Juliana; his father Mathias; and his brothers, Darrell (Dottie) and Kevin (Tammy).
