He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Meyer and Florence Meyer; his sister Shirley Rath; and his grandson Steven Dockter. He is survived by: his wife Bernie; his daughters, Kora Dockter (Ken) and Janel Schmitz (Mike); his stepsons, Dan Clark (Karla) and Jay Clark (Michelle); his grandchildren, Shanna (Brandon), Brady, Kayla Albin (Ryan), Jason Schmitz and David Schmitz (Kate); his stepgrandchildren, Josh Clark, Jack Clark and Gabe Clark; and also Dale Coleman.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the BSC Dennis F. Meyer Scholarship Fund, the North Dakota Suicide Prevention Coalition or the First Lutheran Church in Mandan.
